Dentulous Trajectory Recording

After capturing Static Face data for dentulous patients who require restoration of their vertical dimension in Optimal Jaw Relation, record the mandibular opening and closing trajectories. The trajectory serves as the basis for determining the spatial relationship between the upper and lower jaws.

Steps:

1. Position Adjustment: Adjust the patient’s facial position until it aligns properly within the face detection frame shown on the interface. Ensure both the distance indicator and face detection frame turn green, indicating optimal positioning.

2. Movement Recording: Instruct the patient to perform repeated opening and closing movements according to the software’s tempo guidance:

  • Follow the tempo reminder (default: 120 BPM, i.e., 120 beats per minute; customizable) to perform the motion smoothly and rhythmically, keeping the mouth opening slightly and consistently.
  • Complete at least 30 cycles of opening and closing movements. The software in the upper-right corner will automatically track and display the number of cycles completed in real time.
  • Keep the rest of the face as still as possible to ensure trajectory accuracy.

  1. Automatic Processing: Once the recording is complete, the software will automatically post-process the trajectory and static face data. After processing, the system will return to the Static Face scanning interface.
  2. Review or Proceed: You can revisit the trajectory recording interface to review the recorded mandibular path, and the related operations are shown in the table below. Alternatively, you can proceed directly to the next workflow step in the jaw relationship determination process.
