Click “Sectional Mode” to display a vertical section plane positioned at the incisal point of the upper jaw. In the bottom-right corner, a 2D section view will appear, showing the intersection between this plane and the intraoral scan or CBCT data. This mode allows detailed inspection and measurement of anatomical structures in cross-section.

Plane Operation
Operation | Description |
Move the plane | Click and drag the central handle point of the section plane to adjust its position. |
Rotate the plane | Click and drag the edge of the section plane to change its rotation angle. |
2D Window Operation
- Draw a section: Click the button in the upper-left corner of the 2D window to enter the custom plane mode. Press and hold the left mouse button, then drag to draw a line across the desired area to create a customized section plane.
- Zoom in/out: Click “Zoom in” or “Zoom out” to resize the 2D section window, or scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the view.
- Measurement
- Add Points: Click two positions on the contour line to place measurement points.
- View Results: The straight-line distance between the two points is automatically calculated and displayed on both the 2D section and 3D model.
- (Optional) Move a point: Drag a measurement point along the contour line to adjust its position. The distance updates dynamically in real time.
- (Optional) Re-measure: Add another two points to measure a different area.
- Reset: Click “Reset” to restore the section view to its default state and clear all measurement points.
