Overview
There are indicators on the oral scanners, which can assist users in judging the status of scanners and diagnosing issues. Learning the status of scanners is useful for effectively and efficiently collecting data.
How to judge the status of scanners through indicators?
AoralScan 3
AoralScan 3 features 2 lights. The one is near the tip, and the other is the tail lamp.
The former indicates whether the tip is securely and correctly inserted or not. Green means the tip has been installed correctly already.
The tail lamp presents the scanner’s status.
Color | Status |
Red | Disconnection |
Green | Connected (in heating or standby) |
Blue | A failure in data alignment* |
Breathing Green | Sleeping |
*If the overlap between the previous acquisition and the current acquisition is less than 30%, a failure in data alignment may happen.
AoralScan 3W
AoralScan 3W features 3 lights, including the battery indicator, the status indicator and the cradle indicator.
For the status indicator,
Color | Status |
Red | Errors: connection failure, Wi-FI issues, etc. |
Green | Heating or working |
Breathing Green | In standby |
Light off | No power / sleeping / disconnection |
For the battery indicator, flashing green suggests lower than 20% of power.
For the cradle indicator,
Color | Status |
Orange | Scanner’s errors |
Green | Fully charged scanner and properly working |
Flashing Green | Charging |
Light off | Disconnected to power |
