Practical comparison


RTX PRO 500

  • Weakest option in this group.
  • Adequate for operating a basic scanner, viewing models and light editing.
  • The 6GB VRAM limit may become restrictive with large datasets.
  • Choose only when price, battery life or portability is the priority.
  • Not ideal for Elite/Elf.


RTX 3060

  • Older, but still capable.
  • More raw CUDA cores than the 4060, but uses the older Ampere architecture.
  • Limited to 6GB VRAM.
  • Suitable when buying a significantly cheaper used or older laptop. (NVIDIA)


RTX 4060

  • Better efficiency and newer features than the 3060.
  • 8GB VRAM is preferable for professional 3D applications.
  • Usually the best lower-cost general-purpose option.
  • Supports newer frame-generation and encoding features.


RTX 5060                   

  • Newer Blackwell architecture and GDDR7 memory.
  • Strong gaming and general graphics option.
  • Similar underlying tier to the PRO 2000, but uses gaming-oriented drivers.

RTX PRO 2000

  • Best balanced professional option.
  • Professional drivers and workstation-software certification.
  • Appropriate for daily CAD, dental scanning, rendering and technical applications.
  • Similar core specifications to the RTX 5060, with a higher maximum listed power configuration. (NVIDIA)


RTX PRO 3000

  • 12GB ECC VRAM provides substantially more room for large models and rendering.
  • Best long-term workstation choice.

For a professional scanning/workstation laptop, the RTX PRO 2000 is the strongest balance of cost and performance. The PRO 500 is sufficient but entry-level; the PRO 3000 is preferable for heavy processing or large 3D models.
