Extra Match Scan

IntraoralScan adds extra match scan function, pre-scanning the data of abutment and bite folk to align with oral data, improve the data quality, simplify workflow and meet customized needs of users.

How to align a customized abutment?

STEP 1: Create an order

Create an order in normal ways.

In the scanning interface, click the “extra matches” button, select “scan” and “abutment match”, then click the “confirm” button.

If there has been abutment data yet, you can also import abutment data.

Tips:

The “impression match” module was designed for scanning impressions, for instance, the bite folk. The impression match can reverse the scanning data in the normal and get aligned.

STEP 2: Pre-scan abutment

Users will enter the scanning stage of abutment. Scan the customized abutment with a scanner in advance.

STEP 3: Edit abutment

Use the edition tool to trim the abutment data, and click the “confirm” button to prepare the abutment data.

The data will occur in the upper right corner and be prepared for matching.

In the corner, users can further edit data by selecting the “add”, “align”, “delete”, “manual alignment” and “hide all” buttons.

Tips:

Manual Alignment: Pick 3 points from scanning data and the extra match data individually to align. Click the “confirm” button to finish the alignment.

Add: This button enables users to collect multiple abutment data. The scanning workflow is the same as above-mentioned process.

Align: If you are not satisfied with the manual alignment, you can click the “align” button to automatically align pre-scanning data with scanning data again.

Delete: Delete the abutment data that is unnecessary for matching.

Hide all: After alignment, hide all aligned areas.

STEP 4: Alignment

After collecting abutment data, scan the oral data with abutment. The prepared abutment data will be aligned with the oral data automatically after finishing scanning to improve the data quality.

STEP 5: check results

Users can check the results with extra match scan. With turning off the texture, it was easy to find the quality of abutment data was polished, compared with the data without extra match scan. The oral data after extra match scan can provide more accurate information for users.
