Cleaning and Sterilization for Cap Scan Bodies

Overview

This article mainly introduces the cleaning and sterilization steps for cap scan bodies. Users can follow the instructions to prepare the cap scan bodies before reusing them.

How to Clean Cap Scan Bodies?

STEP 1: Rinse

After removing the cap scan body from the patient's mouth, immediately rinse it under running water for at least 1 minute to remove surface contaminants. Manual cleaning is recommended, and the cleaning water temperature should be between 15°C and 30°C.

STEP 2: Soaking

Immerse the rinsed scan body in a neutral enzyme cleaner, with a recommended dilution ratio of 1:100-200 (cleaner to water). Soak for at least 10 minutes to prevent blood from coagulating inside the screw channel.

STEP 3: Cleaning

During the soaking process, gently agitate and rotate the liquid to further clean the screw channel until the soaking process is complete.

STEP 4: Rinsing

Rinse the scan body with purified water to remove any residual enzyme cleaner, for at least 1 minute. Ensure no contaminants remain on the surface of the scan body.

STEP 5: Drying

Gently wipe the scan body with a clean, lint-free cloth to ensure the surface is dry.

STEP 6: Sterilization

Place the scan body in the designated sterilization container, seal the container with a high-temperature, high-pressure sterilization bag, and place it in the sterilizer for sterilization. (Sterilization parameters: Pre-vacuum type, temperature 134°C, pressure 205.8 kPa, sterilization time 4 minutes, drying time 30 minutes; or gravity displacement type, temperature 121°C, pressure 102.9 kPa, sterilization time 30 minutes, followed by drying in a constant temperature drying box for 30 minutes.)
