HACS Replacement

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Overview

The software provides an easy workflow for replacing HACS when the HACS is fractured, beyond the maximum utilization times or lost. Users can replace HACS in several steps by themselves from V3.6.0.3. This article mainly introduces the methods of replacement.

When should the HACS be replaced?

Please replace HACS timely in the following situations:

  • The HACS exceeds recommended utilization times (300 times);
  • Surface damage or stains;

  • Screw fracture

  • Lost HACS.

How can I purchase a new HACS?

When you come across the above-mentioned situations, please confirm the target HACS information (serial number) and contact your reseller to ask for a replacement.

How to replace a HACS?

STEP 1

Ensure your software has been updated to V3.6.X.X, enabling you to replce HACS manually. Create a new order and select the “intraoral photogrammetry” dentistry type.

STEP 2

Find the coded scan body button and click it. Click “go to download” and scan the QR code of the HACS kit that needs to be replaced. If you have imported, we recommend you scan the QR code to acquire the serial number of the kit, ensuring the correctness of the HACS kit to avoid replacing another kit

STEP 3

In the coded scan body interface, find the HACS to be replaced. Click the replacement button beside the serial number of the target HACS.

STEP 4

In the pop-up, please confirm the serial number of the target HACS. Next, input the serial number of the replacement HACS in 2 ways:

  • Click the scan button to scan the QR code on the HACS;
  • Input the serial number manually.

STEP 5

After successful replacement, you can try and check the results of replacement on the practice model.

Tips: The accordance between the original and new HACS

The replacement of HACS is not casual. Users should guarantee the length and sequence number are the same.

E.g. A HACS (serial number: F42411110001-A25-1) needs to be replaced with a new HACS.

Therefore, we should have the new HACS with the same type(A), same length (-25mm) and sequence number (1).

If not, there will be a pop-up to alarm.

Tips: Common issues

  • The scanning rod has already been bound to another set.

The new HACS has been bound, please use an unbound HACS.

  • The scanning rod does not exist.

Please confirm if the serial number of the new HACS is correct.
