Installation of the coded scan body

Overview


The high accuracy coded scan body is perfomed at the level of abutments with multi-unit abutments (MUA). In the coded scan body kit, we provided a torque wrench and screw drivers to assist users in installing the coded scan bodies more efficiently. This guide will illustrate the methods of the installation.


How to install the coded scan bodies?


STEP 1: Tighten the scan bodies

1. Select coded scan bodies according to the implant positions. In general, select the shorter scan bodies for the front teeth and the longer scan bodies for the rear teeth. 

2. Install the scan bodies primarily with the screwdriver. Ensure the scan body cannot move without finger prodding. 

3. Together with the scan body’s tail end to ease the scanning transition.

STEP 2: Install the torque wrench

1. Loosen and remove the magnetic stick from the rear of the wrench. 

2. Plug the magnetic stick and the remaining part of the wrench into the tube on the torque from different directions.

3. Please press on the tip of the wrench and tighten the magnetic stick.

4. Pull the tail end with arrows and rotate the stick. Ensure the arrow at the bottom of the magnetic stick points to the scale of the torque, which indicates the direction of the force. 


STEP 3: Tighten the scan body

1. Plug the screwdriver into the tip of the wrench.

2. Plug the screwdriver into the screw hole of the coded scan body.

3. Press the screwdriver and stir the metal pull rod to 10-15N.

4. Rotate the pull rod to tighten the scan body until the rod is hard to move anymore.

5. Check the status of the scan body.


STEP 4: Loosen the scan body

1. Rotate the arrow against the scale of the torque.

2. Rotate the pull rod back and forth towards the direction against the scan body to loosen the scan body primarily.

3. Use the screwdriver directly to dismiss all scan bodies.  

4. Dismiss the torque and wrench and put them back in the suit.
