AccuDesign 2.0

Overview

 

The AccuDesign function is designed to create physical models from digital impression scans, seamlessly integrated with Shining 3D printer slicing software. With various adjustable parameters and tools like text, articulator, base creation, and drain holes, users can enhance the 3D printing process using the AccuDesign function.

 

How to automatically generate models?

 

STEP 1Create an order and collect oral data

Create an order and collect oral data normally. 

STEP 2: Quickly set models

In the pre-design stage, click the “AccuDesign” button in the drop-down menu to launch the program. Users can check the models imported by rotating and resetting, select base types, select articulator, edit text and select the text position. 

 

STEP 3: Automatically generate models

Click the “Auto generation” button to generate a model.

STEP 4: Manually adjust models

If you want to set models in detail, you can click the “next step” button when creating a new project or click the steps’ name in the workflow bar in the stage of printing view. 

STEP 5: Coord adjust

Adjust models in the coordinate system. You need to drag the models to the center of the coordinate system. If you want to modify the model in detail, click the maximized button to enlarge the sub-window and modify the models detailedly. 

STEP 6: Adjust areas

You can check the print areas and modify them.

Tips:

Brush: You can apply a brush whose size can be adjusted by a threshold bar to increase new print areas by smearing. 

Eraser: You can apply an eraser whose size can be adjusted by a threshold bar to decrease existing print areas by smearing.

Transmission: When using the Brush or Eraser, you can simultaneously select or deselect the corresponding area on the opposite side of the jaw while smearing, which helps in quickly applying or removing the brush strokes in the desired area.

Automatic Filling: You can fill holes appearing when smearing print areas to ensure the integrity of models. 

Area Size: After selecting the area, you can use the region size adjustment threshold bar to repeatedly enlarge or reduce the selected area's size.

STEP 7: Adjust bases

You can adjust the base’s height by dragging the base planes or setting specific figures for heights. The total height can be calculated automatically. 

STEP 8: Adjust articulators

Click the “articulator” to select an articulator, then, a circular will appear. Click the articulator, a transparent adjustment button will appear on it. You can move the articulator or rotate the articulator through this button. 

Move your cursor to the center of the button and drag the button to move the articulator.

Move your cursor to the margin of the button and drag the button to rotate the articulator. 

STEP 9: Edit text

Input text and click the “add” button, the model of text will be along your cursor. Move the model to a position on the surface. Then, select the type, height and size of it.

Tips:

Edit: You can revise the existing text.

Mirror: You can create the mirrored text on the opposite jaw.

Delete: You can delete the text.

STEP 10: View printing

You can check the models waiting for printing.

Adjust the transparency of models in the threshold bar or hide the models by clicking the eye button. Click the “go to print” button to start up the AccuWare software and the models to be printed will be imported automatically.
