DSO Account & Members Setup

DSO Account & Members Setup

SHINING 3D DENTAL CLOUD

This guide will explain how to create an institution tree within the SHINING 3D Dental Cloud that includes a sole clinic institution administrator (controlled by the DSO representative), the desired number of standard clinic institution members (each of which is delegated to a given doctor/practice), and a sole lab connection (administrative privileges of which are also controlled only by the DSO representative. This arrangement will disallow doctors from making connections to laboratories other than the one assigned by the DSO representative.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACCOUNT & INSTITUTIONS CREATION

2. Accept cookies (this will allow accounts to remain signed in)

3. Register a new account (or sign in if the desired account already exists)

4. Follow the registration prompts:

  1. Select the appropriate region (this cannot be modified after registration is complete)
  2. Enter the email address the DSO representative will use for the laboratory administrator and clinic administrator account
  3. Click the verification button
  4. Select “Get Code,” then type in the verification code sent to the given email address’ inbox
  5. Enter the name of the DSO representative (this is not the name of the lab or clinic institution)

6. Create a lab institution as an administrator. Be sure to name the institution exactly as you wish for it to appear to other users

7. Likewise, create a clinic institution as an administrator, paying close attention to how the institution is named. Adding a new institution can also be done by selecting the account icon in the upper-right corner of the page → select “Account Settings” → select “Institutional information” → select “Create/Join institutions”:

8. Once both the lab institution and the clinic institution have been established, create a connection between the clinic institution and the lab institution. Ensure the clinic institution is selected in the upper-right drop-down menu, then select the “Connections” tab in the left column. Select “New” on the right side and simply type in the name of the matching lab institution:

IF THE CLIENT DOES NOT HAVE AN ESTABLISHED ACCOUNT WITH THE SHINING 3D DENTAL CLOUD, PLEASE FOLLOW STEPS 9–12

IF THE CLIENT ALREADY HAS AN ESTABLISHED ACCOUNT WITH THE SHINING 3D DENTAL CLOUD, PLEASE FOLLOW STEPS 13–18

CLIENT’S EMAIL NOT ESTABLISHED WITH CLOUD

9. In order to add a client doctor/clinic to the clinic institution, first obtain (or create) an email address to be assigned to the client’s login. Gmail tends to be a preferred domain for email address creation.

10. This section may be completed in an incognito/private browser window so as to keep the administrative account signed in:

Follow steps 1–5 with the client’s email address. Once the client’s account is signed in, follow the prompts to join an institution. Please take care not to create an institution. Select the “Dentist and other staff” option under the clinic section. This role will disallow the client from creating or managing connections (and thus sending cases) to labs beyond the DSO lab linked to the DSO clinic.

11. Type in the name of the DSO clinic institution to submit the standard membership request

12. Switch back to the DSO representative’s account page and confirm the standard membership request under the “Members” tab of the clinic institution

CLIENT’S EMAIL ALREADY ESTABLISHED WITH CLOUD

13. Once ready to add a client doctor/clinic to the clinic institution, select the “Members” tab on the left column of the cloud interface

14. Click the “Add” button in the upper-right corner

15. Enter the email address to be assigned to the client doctor/clinic. Ensure the option “Member” is selected, then click “Submit”

16. This section may be completed in an incognito/private browser window so as to keep the administrative account signed in:

Log the client into their account at www.dental3dcloud.com and open the client’s email inbox

17. An invitation link will be found in the inbox of the client’s email address. Click the blue button to be taken to the institution page of the client’s cloud account

18. Confirm the institution standard membership request

19. Now, any clients who are registered as standard members will be unable to send connection requests to other labs in IntraoralScan and the SHINING 3D Dental Cloud browser platform
