If you capture additional face data after smile face acquisition, such as closed mouth face data, face data with a retractor, or other customized face data, you can align them pair by pair for the following pre-design operation.
Automatic Alignment
Click “Auto Align”, and the software will automatically perform the alignment.
Manual Alignment
Steps:
1. Click “Enter Manual Align”.
2. Add 3-12 corresponding points on both sets of facial data, which we recommend you select around areas without much difference because of expression changes, such as the glabella, endocanthion/ exocanthion, or nasion, etc.
Note: The added points should not be in a straight line.
3. Click “Manual Alignment” to generate alignment.
Post-Alignment Review
You can evaluate the alignment effect and accuracy using the “Heat Map” or reset the alignment with “Reset Align”.
Name | Description |
Heat Map | Displays the alignment effect using numerical values and color coding: green indicates an ideal fit, red indicates a positive deviation, and blue signifies a negative deviation. Click on the heat map to add labels showing the numerical values. Use “Clear” or double-click on a label to remove it. |
Reset Align | Deletes the current aligned model and allows you to re-align the data. |
Once the scan alignment is complete, click “Go to Pre-design” to edit the scanned data. You can also send the order to Dental Cloud.
