Why we have to Level the Build Platform
Achieving consistent and successful 3D prints begins with a properly leveled build platform. Leveling ensures that the initial layers of resin are cured with the correct spacing between the build platform and the film, which is critical for print adhesion and accuracy. If the platform is not level or improperly positioned, issues such as layer separation, warping, or total print failure may occur.
To reduce setup time and improve the out-of-box experience, the build platform of your printer is factory-leveled before shipment. However, certain conditions—such as switching to a different build platform size, encountering failed prints—may require manual leveling to restore optimal performance.
This guide explains when and how to level the build platform properly, helping ensure a smooth printing experience and high-quality results.
Tools
Hex key or leveling tool (all the tools can be find form boxes )
3 sheets of A4 Paper or CEL leveling card for the AccuFab-CEL
How to Level the Build Platform with Quick Leveling method
- 1. Remove the Build Platform and Resin Tank
Take out the build platform and resin tank. Ensure that the LCD screen is clean and free from any resin residue or debris, as contamination may affect the accuracy of the leveling process.
- 2. Clean the Build Platform
Wash the build platform thoroughly and check for any remaining cured or liquid resin. Ensure it is completely clean and dry before proceeding.
CAUTION:
Resin may cause skin irritation or an allergic skin reaction. Wear Nitrile gloves when handling liquid resin . If it comes into contact with the skin, wash skin with plenty of soap and water.
- 3. Prepare for Leveling
Reinstall the clean build platform onto the bracket. Then place a leveling card or 3 sheets of A4 paper flat on the LCD screen. Loosen the four screws on the platform to allow it to move freely during leveling.
- 4. Initiate Leveling Mode
Steps to Set the Zero Position on the Printe
- On the printer’s touchscreen, tap the “Setting” option from the main menu.
- In the Setting menu, select “Hardware Setting”.
- Then, choose “Motor Setting”.
- Tap “Set Zero Position”.
- Follow the on-screen guide to complete the zero position calibration.
The build platform will automatically move to the optimal position for leveling. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the process to complete. Once finished, tighten the four screws on the build platform to lock it in place.
Attention:
Ensure that each screw is tightened from the center position. If any screw is fixed while the platform is too high or too low on one side, it can lead to an uneven platform surface and result in print failures.

Important Notes on Z Axis Offset and Build Platform Calibration
Consistent Z-axis positioning is essential to ensure reliable printing performance and proper platform alignment.
- When using the advanced leveling method, both the standard and small build platforms must be recalibrated individually.
- This method separates the Z-axis offsets for each platform. Therefore, after applying it, you cannot switch platforms without recalibrating.
- If you are using a new printer, you can refer to the original Z-axis position of the standard build platform as a reference, and set the small build platform to the same Z-axis height.
- The only difference between the two platforms is the tightening position of the screws, not the Z-axis value.
Please note:
If you manually modify the Z-axis position for either platform, the other must also be adjusted accordingly.

- Set” Set Z Position”.
Fine-tuning the Z-axis zero position by changing the value of the Z-axis offset in the appropriate increment (1mm, 0.1mm, or 0.01mm), based on the degree of contact between the build plate and the A4 paper, ultimately positioning the illustrated screw in the middle of the screw hole.
5. Ensure even contact with the paper
Slightly adjust the build plate or the build plate bracket's position to ensure that all four corners have even contact with the A4 paper. Verify that a PET card or a feeler gauge (0.1mm thick) cannot be inserted between the build platform and the paper from the four corners.
6. Tighten the build platform bracket screws
Slightly press the build platform while tightening the bracket screws.
First, pre-tighten the two diagonal screws, then tighten all four screws securely to prevent unevenness caused by the tightening process. Re-check with the PET film sheet to ensure it still cannot be inserted from the corners.
7. Complete the leveling process
Once leveling is complete and satisfactory, tap "Confirm" to finalize the leveling
