LumiCera Resin Standard Cleaning Procedure(Step by Step)

Overview

LumiCera Resin is a high-ceramic-content dental resin for fabricating highly accurate restorations.

To maintain restoration accuracy and surface quality, do not immerse the restoration in IPA or alcohol. Clean the restoration using lint-free wipes. If IPA is used, apply it only to the wipe and immediately dry the restoration with clean compressed air after wiping.

Important

Prolonged exposure to IPA or alcohol may cause high-ceramic-content resin to develop a chalky surface, which may affect the final restoration quality and fit.

Recommended Cleaning Procedure

Step 1. Remove Excess Uncured Resin

Immediately after printing and removing the supports, use a clean, lint-free wipe to gently remove uncured resin from all surfaces of the restoration.

Pay special attention to the intaglio surface, where uncured resin can be difficult to remove. Wipe this area thoroughly and repeatedly until no visible resin remains.

Step 2. Clean Difficult-to-Reach Areas

Use a micro applicator to clean areas that are difficult to access, including:

• Occlusal grooves and fissures

• Intaglio surface

Carefully remove any remaining uncured resin from these areas.

Step 3. Optional IPA Wipe

If additional cleaning is required, lightly moisten a lint-free wipe with IPA, or use a IPA wipe.

Gently wipe all surfaces of the restoration until they are completely clean.

Immediately dry the restoration with clean compressed air to remove any residual IPA. Do not allow alcohol to remain on the restoration surface for an extended period.

Step 4. Inspection

Carefully inspect the restoration before post-curing.

Ensure that:

• No uncured resin remains on any surface, including the intaglio surface.

• Under adequate lighting, inspect the restoration from multiple viewing angles and ensure that no glossy or reflective areas remain.

Any glossy or reflective area indicates residual uncured resin, which may affect the fit and accuracy of the restoration after post-curing.

Proceed to post-curing only after confirming that the restoration is completely clean and dry.
