Orthodontic Analysis and Models
Overview
Orthodontics is a dental specialty focused on diagnosing and treating misaligned teeth and jaws to mainly correct malocclusions (misalignments) using methods like splints, aligners, and other appliances. The software provides a complete workflow for orthodontic analysis and fabricating models and applications.
The workflow is shown as the schematic:
- Scan
Acquire clear, accurate and complete teeth data with Aoralscan series scanners. Please ensure your scan data is complete without holes, deficiencies or contaminants, keeping the gingiva volume over 3mm. The data will be kept in the cloud.
- Measurement Analysis
Import the scanned data to MentronTrack for analysis. MentronTrack will measure the model and showcase various orthodontics indices, easing diagnosis and judgment with more specific data support. An analysis report can be generated for further touching and information retention.
- Orthodontic Simulation
ConsulOS can simulate the orthodontic treatment plan with AI function, simplifying the communication process with various comparison and manual edition tools. A report including models before and after treatment and orthodontic animation can be uploaded to the cloud with a QR code, promoting the understanding and acceptance of patients.
- Orthodontic Appliance Design and Fabrication
At present, only splinters, retainers and indirect bonding trays can be designed and fabricated directly. With updating and improving AccuDesign, CreSplint and CreIBT, the production of orthodontics appliances is going more smoothly and intelligently, leading to a highly efficient workflow. The data can also be seamlessly exported to EXOCAD and Maestro3D to conduct precise design for appliances.
- Verification
The orthodontic treatment results can be verified with the comparison function in MentronTrack. A detailed comparison report and diversified comparison tools can intuitively display the teeth movement, indicating the results, and serving as a reference for verification.
