This article applies to the AccuFab-D1s printer.
Layer Separation refers to discontinuities, missing sections, or interlayer separation that occur in the model or part during the 3D printing process. This issue can prevent the printed model from achieving the desired accuracy and quality.
Common Causes of Layer Separation and Troubleshooting Steps
1. Correctness of the Print Parameter Package
Solution:
Ensure the print file is complete and accurate. Verify the settings in the printing software, and use validated printing parameters.
2. Abnormalities in the User’s Printing Environment (Low Temperature, High Humidity)
Phenomena:
a) Low ambient temperature increases resin viscosity, leading to higher pulling forces, which may cause print detachment and layer separation.
b) High humidity can affect resin reaction speed, reducing interlayer adhesion and causing print detachment and layer separation. Additionally, high humidity can cause the support structure to absorb moisture and become soft.
Solution:
Check the temperature and humidity inside the chamber via the display screen, and ensure the equipment is stored in a suitable environment.
Tip: Maintain the environment temperature between 20℃ and 30℃, and control humidity within the 10% to 70% range.
3. Inadequate Equipment Maintenance and Presence of Resin Debris in the Material Tank
Presence of Resin Debris in the Material Tank
Solution:Use the cleaning tools recommended in the printer manual to remove any debris from the material tank.
4. Ensure the Print Platform and Material Tank are Securely Fastened
Layer Separation or Print Detachment Caused by an Unleveled Platform
Solution:Level the platform according to the printer's guidelines.
5. Issues with the Model Design
a) Issues with the STL Data Causing Layer Separation or Partial Omission
Solution:Use software to automatically repair model issues, ensuring the model is complete and easy to print.
b) Lowest Point Suspended Without Support
Solution:Use software to automatically or manually add supports to ensure successful printing.
c) Print Failure Due to Resin Trapped Inside the Model
Solution:Use software to automatically add drainage holes to prevent a vacuum from forming at the bottom of the model.
Tip: If the issue persists, please contact our support platform. Send the STL file to the support platform so we can provide related services and optimizations.
6. Light Power Issues
Phenomena:Partial model omission due to light power degradation.
Solution:Check if the light power is functioning correctly according to the printer's guidelines.
Tip: When checking light power,it’s recommended to contact customer support for further guidance.
Following these steps should resolve most layer separation issues. If the problem persists, please contact the support platform to ensure proper maintenance and operation of the printer and materials.
